All of the garments in our line of fair trade athletic wear begin their lives as plastic bottles.
100% REPREVE® Recycled Polyester
REPREVE® transforms plastic bottles into certifiable, performance yarn. First they source plastic bottles from recycled facilities, then they clean and chop the bottles turning them into plastic flakes. Those flakes are made into resin pellets which are then melted and extruded to form the fiber which can be spun into the yarn we use in our performance polyester! That yarn is then knit, dyed and finished by our fabric partner in South Carolina.
Water Wicking
Polyester is loved for its water-wicking capabilities and continues to grow in popularity. By utilizing recycled polyester, we’re diverting waste from landfills turning it into new garments. Combine this with our collection of recycled plastic buttons, labels & zippers, and these garments are completely made from trash!
